Healing and Worship...Yes, I STILL Believe

Today, as I reflect upon what Good Friday represents to humanity in general, but to the body of Christ specifically, I am overwhelmed by the love God would demonstrate to me personally through Jesus. I am especially grateful for the scripture text found in Isaiah 53:3-5:

“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

This passage from Isaiah in particular is so powerful because it reminds me of the tremendous price paid for my healing. The beautiful revelation of this scripture reveals to us that before Jesus even got to Calvary and shed his blood or died, we were already healed by the stripes he bore. Hallelujah! That alone gives me reason to rejoice!

This month, I want to remind you about the healing power of Jesus. There is nothing missing and nothing lacking in His ability to touch you in the midst of your circumstance. His healing and redemption work is complete. The requirement for us to experience divine healing is a result of the finish work Jesus has purchased for us. We have the right to believe God for this precious promise. Maybe you presently find yourself in need of a manifestation of healing. I want to encourage you to receive it by faith as you worship God. Often times when we hear the word healing, we immediately think of it in the physical sense and can limit it to only include illness, infirmity, and disease. However, God desires that we experience healing and wholeness in every area of our lives. Whatever type of healing you may need (emotional, mental, physical, etc.), I challenge you to receive it as you worship. Worship with the correct understanding that you are already healed because everything that needs to be done has already been provided by Jesus’ ultimate act of love for us.

Particularly for those of you have been standing in faith for a long time believing God for your healing to manifest, I want to double-dare encourage you not to lose heart. There is nothing too hard for God and there is nothing impossible with God to those who believe! Continue to confess the Word of God and release your expectation to the One who is more than able. I once heard a preacher say this: “There are two things God can’t do-lie and fail!” It’s true! No matter what healing you may stand in need of, it is but a light thing for our mighty God to deliver! May your worship be a testimony of your unwavering faith. Today, I join my faith with yours and we will simply declare, “Yes, I STILL believe!” As you soak in worship, declare healing scriptures and trust God to do the miraculous because He still works miracles!
